    ABOUT US

Introducing Energy Innovation Research Center (EIRC) for Wind Turbine Support Structures

      Organization

      Structure & Risk Laboratory

Our Structure & Risk Laboratory conducts research on quantitatively assessing the disaster risk and reliability of offshore structures, including support structures for offshore wind turbines.
Disaster factors affecting offshore structures include not only natural disasters such as typhoons and earthquakes but also human-induced disasters such as accidents, collisions, and explosions.
Our research provides critical information for social investment decisions by ensuring structural safety and estimating risk costs.
Our current research focuses include the integrated design of offshore wind turbine support structures and the disaster risk assessment of offshore wind turbine support structures considering uncertainties in offshore environmental loads.
