    Introducing Energy Innovation Research Center (EIRC) for Wind Turbine Support Structures

      Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory

      The Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory is making relentless efforts to usher in a new era of change in response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
      In particular, we are building an artificial intelligence network by collecting, processing, and utilizing big data related to topography,
      geology, hydraulics, hydrology, oceanography, and wind conditions, which are essential for renewable energy projects in the Saemangeum region.
      To enhance the efficiency of renewable energy facilities, we are currently conducting research and development on P-y analysis, design, and construction technologies
      for soft ground support structures (such as monopiles and helical piles), as well as various countermeasure technologies for earthquakes and liquefaction.
