Introducing Energy Innovation Research Center (EIRC) for Wind Turbine Support Structures

      Greetings from the Director

I am Daeyong Lee, Director of the Energy
      Innovation Research Center (EIRC)
      for Wind Turbine Support Structures.

The Energy Innovation Research Center (EIRC) for Wind Turbine Support Structures was established in 2022
with financial support from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea.

Our center is a nationwide organization that serves as an incubator for key personnel and core technologies
in the field of support structural systems (towers, fixed substructures, floating substructures, foundations, anchors, etc.)
for onshore and offshore wind energy generation.

Currently, the center is being run by over 30 research engineers and graduate students (including 6 university faculty members)
and 9 Korean companies with the best track records in the wind energy generation market.

The center plans to expand its collaboration with a large number of other companies that are looking to enter
or expand their wind energy generation business in the Republic of Korea and abroad.
We also plan to build on our domestic network and R&D infrastructure to strengthen our presence in the global market.

We will do our best to achieve the goal of fostering top-notch professionals through project-based education programs
and developing world-class practical technologies through industry-academy cooperation R&D programs.

We look forward to your support and participation.
      Thank you.

      Daeyong Lee, Ph.D.
