    Introducing Energy Innovation Research Center (EIRC) for Wind Turbine Support Structures

      Geosystem Laboratory

      The Geotechnical Systems Laboratory mainly conducts research on developing underground heat exchangers with improved thermal performance and constructability to spread the concept of renewable energy.
      Presently, we are conducting test and experiments at various sites, and through these, we focus on developing a finite element analysis model capable of coupled thermal-hydraulic-mechanical analysis.
      Recently, we have started conducting research on ways to incorporate AI technologies such as machine learning to develop a prediction model for a new type of ground heat exchanger.
